DECADE THROWBACK: The Story of Tumblr User Sullifx

Sullifx was a dedicated Sulli fan, popularity peaking in 2010-2011 on tumblr. For some, Sullifx was simply a provider of great f(x) content; Sullifx presented themselves as a kfan with access to premier pictures and videos. However, Sullifx was notorious for their sexual comments toward Sulli. While other f(x) fans admonished them for these comments, Sullifx took the stance that these comments came from a place of love and admiration. English not being Sullifx's first language, it is hard to decide whether some of these comments are truly sexual or just odd translations. Either way, Sullifx gained prominence on tumblr and the international f(x) community.

Sullifx also used the usernames Ssul and fxsulli. The only (and incomplete) and archive remains at http://fxsulli-blog.tumblr.com/ (CW there are some NSFW pictures in the archive).

Sullifx also boasted a youtube channel and eventually a twitter.

Sullifx was highly driven by fantasies of Sulli. But, they were self aware; the user would constantly reiterate that they were harming no one. Certainly, all of their comments were in praise of Sulli and the sexual comments remained contained to their personal blog.

On tumblr, Sullifx gained a cult of personality based on the odd way they spoke. People were both revolted and fascinated by their comments. But in February 2012, the hate got too much Sullifx deleted.

we can’t meet in the real world. so we can say in this (internet) world. so i do this. everytime i posting perfect myself, honestly posting for SULLI, then i moved peoples heart. that’s awesome. people’s different reaction. i just wanna say thank you. thanks for your love. appreciate it. i’m so proud for that.

Sullifx revealed! Many were shocked that she was such a cute, young, normal-looking girl, in contrast to a creepy old fan-man. But was she... ?

Sullifx's main tumblr base was holding a secret. Since Sullifx was deleting, they now shared that the pictures were actually of indie rapper Safari Girl.

Not long after, Sullifx remade as fxsulli. They have since admitted that the pictures were fake.

Sullifx continued to post as usual after remaking, though with less followers they did not create as much controversy as before. What is Sullifx doing now? Impossible to say, unless it is possible because you have more information on their whereabouts, in which case, please share in the comments below!

Was Sullifx a crazed sex freak? Or a revolutionary encouraging free love? Did they just get an sick pleasure of objectifying an attractive celebrity or were they a modern day Jesus? Based on probability alone, it is most likely the latter; however, many posts were indeed tender. My personal favorite was this post, which I find to be poetic and heartfelt:

expression is different but they talking to love. my love goes only to Sulli. of course love is not a crime’s justification. but this is underground diary. if my words influence to Sulli’s real life… if i give to negative influence. i’ll quit love to you. i don’t want it. my only reason is you. i hope you happy. Sulli. am i crime? i don’t know yet. at least i was brought up to be frank and speak my mind to her. never saying irresponsibility. Sulli, i’m always care about you. i know it, you can understand me.
