Why You Should Give Up Sex and Devote Your Life to Kpop Remixes

Jun Areia created an empire with his passion for Kpop music.

If you have spent any time on Kpop remix YouTube, you know Areia Creations.
If you do, but you don't, turn off your nightcore for a minute and listen up!

Jun Areia began in 2009 with a solid remix of #1, "Gee," but I believe the fist Areia remix I personally ever heard was #33, "CABI Song." This version was heavily shared among Sones because it was listenable.

If you don't remember, "CABI Song" was a fountain of fandom drama
Areia's channel caught my eye, not necessarily because of the quality (which was up there nonetheless), but because of the sheer variety of remixed songs. For example, "No Playboy" was remixed when Nine Muses had just debuted and no one liked them (Just for the record, I am the exception).

Here are 3 more acts you probably missed, but should not have.

Another example: check the comments for #37, "A," for some remnants of fans discussing whether or not Rainbow, not far into their debut, had too much plastic surgery. Spoiler: Yoonhye just looks like that.

Haters will say they're fake (sc)
I always enjoyed Areia's creations because he had a gratitude and reverence for girl groups and dance music that vibed with me. And his passion is so clearly illustrated by the time and quality of his remixes. Granted, I have zero professional knowledge of remixing and electronic music. But, I mean, he even remixed #49, "Peekaboo" by JQT and definitely got no clout from anyone for that, except me once again.

JQT, the original Queens of Failed American Advancements
By Summer 2011, Areia Creations had improved in quality tremendously. My personal favorite has always been #65, "Bangkok City," because it not only sounds great, but it tells a story and attempts to bring you to a new place, which is a big motif in Areia's works as a whole.

But, from my perspective, Jun Areia had his first breakout with #53, "Don't Play Around." Chi Chi debuted with this song in 2011, and it immediately garnered unjustified hate; a truly misunderstood song that is now a cult classic.

After Areia jazzed the song up, he caught the attention of Trophy Entertainment. He continued on to work with them and did an official remix for "Love is Energy," as well "Hypnotize (Areia Balkan Ver.)" for the artist formerly known as Andamiro (yes, that's Anda). He even was involved Andamiro's worst song as his first Kpop original release, but that's not his fault, he was apparently only involved in the end mastering of the product. Let's listen to her best to compensate.

Trophy Ent. eventually dissolved, as did Chi Chi (saddest day in pop music) and it seemed that Areia's luck had run out...

Did you believe that? I hope you #270, "Don't Believe," because it is dead wrong. Areia Creations has proved itself to be nothing if not resilient. Jun Areia has, I'm sure, a plethora of people to get the company to where it is today, including fans who donate on Patreon. But, in 2013, Aeria Creations started teaming up with popular remixes on YouTube, including Trance Blossom and, my personal favorite, i5cream:

It was very exciting to see Kpop remixers coming together, but also weird to see them all being swallowed up by The Machine. But when the music feels so good, who can complain!

Now, if only he would pick up this classic remixer, Rana #WhoIsShe

Eventually, Areia began releasing "fusions" rather than "remixes," meaning they are more like original works than a rearrangement. I, personally, do not fully understand the difference, I can appreciate the difference. As long as some one out there is remixing, I'm sorry, *fusing Stellar songs, I'm good.

We do wish Areia and his team would stop using extremely sexual pictures as cover images, as it adds to the objectification of these already heavily commodified female idol's bodies, and makes this post impossible to edit at work (not that I DO, just saying)

All of his content is in English, so I will not go into great depth of his recent exploits, but feel free to check out the official site.

Obviously, Areia Creations has become more than just one man remixing "Gee". A great story, but the real reason we are sharing this? We are super pumped for ex-UNICORN member Sally, Lily Pink's solo debut!!! Check out one of her numerous covers with Areia's production crew at her side, in a series called "Kisses"!
