1. Friendship on SNS
Sulli and IU have never made their friendship a secret, and we live for their lovey-dovey friendship posts. Below are a cute couple:

"Jieun unni made me food while she should be resting.. I’m sorry…. But imagining her making food with her small hands like that, I want her to do it again #IloveyouGodJieun" translation source
These two are super cute, and they obviously admire each other from head to toe. When was the last time you appreciated your friend's little hands? Get on that level!!
2. IU's Very Straight song "Peach"
"Peach" features the multi-talented IU herself on the triangle and recorder and includes lyrics like, "How can you be so pretty baby?" and "I'm not just saying this out of a young heart / But I really want to marry you" (lyric source). The kicker? She wrote it while thinking about Sulli:
I named it [Peach] after completing all the work. [...] If you turn the image of a peach, it becomes a heart, and I really really like people who look like peaches. When I was composing, it had a very feminine feel to it, so while writing the 1st verse, I deliberately used the perspective of a male to think about a really really pretty girl… and I thought of f(x)’s Sulli… With those feelings in mind, I wrote these lyrics. I thought Sulli resembled a peach. [120511] Cyworld Music Star BGM InterviewListen to her talk more about it on Jonghyun's Blue Night Radio! This is definitely one of our favorite IU anecdotes of all time and just shows how sweet and caring she is toward her friends. I hope she never marries a man because he won't deserve her.
3. Sulli performing IU's "Peach" as a girl dressed as a boy dressed as a girl
To The Beautiful You is not just a Wonder Girls song! Less importantly, it was a 2012 drama starring SM stars Sulli and Choi Minho. And the drama was most notable for Sulli's cross-dressing.
The story gives some convoluted reason for Sulli playing a cross-dressing college student and an even more convoluted reason for pretend-boy Sulli to become a pretend-boy pretending to be girl for the school talent show. Either way, it was an excuse to hear Sulli sing "Peach," so we'll take it.
With this drama moment, IU and Sulli officially became a power couple! Blessed be.
4. Supportive Queen IU
"Red Queen" is a song about a woman that everyone hates. But IU is not ready to give into that status quo. "We're not born horrible right?" she says as she explains the song. "If the Red Queen is so bad, there must be someone who made her that way." Is it a coincidence IU wrote this song just as Sulli was becoming the target of massive netizen hate for her relationship with Choiza? It might have been that way, if not for the fact that IU revealed that the song was inspired by Sulli.
IU wrote this song based on one of Sulli's paintings. It covers a story of a "gloomy red headed" girl who is always angry and yelling, but Sulli knows a secret about the girl: "One day, someone was crying in sorrow / and she came to pat them on the back (her hands so unbelievably warm)." It is probably not a literal story about Sulli, but this moment certainly seems like the kind of intimate detail they usually characterize their friendship by.
IU is encouraging us to stop seeing high profile people in black-and-white (black and red?). Plus, how beautiful that IU was so supportive of Sulli's art that she created her own, reactionary art. We love it so!

5. Time After Time
IU and Sulli have been friends for years. They share a connection being in the same industry, being the same age and even once having similar images. They are both representative of second generation Kpop idols. But, two people having all of this in common does not mean they will automatically get along. And yet, they do! They are an inspiration!
